Rebuild, Renew, and Reenergize January 13, 2022

We have the opportunity to begin anew, with a fresh start in our organizations, our families, and our world. With unrelenting changes in the past two years, we are being challenged to find new answers, forge new horizons, and create organizations that are desirable and retentive. The Great Resignation has not slowed down and finding and keeping dedicated employees is an increasing and ongoing goal. Putting people first is not only necessary, but also the path to rebuilding workplace cultures that are better, happier, more productive, and more successful for the long-term. Rebuilding and creating a desirable workplace culture requires thinking outside the “spreadsheet” and moving outside of the proverbial box. A renewal for 2022 demands a clear vision from a higher vantage point with leaders who are willing to change the outmoded models of leadership.
Healthcare, of all industries, has suffered immensely from the past two years of the pandemic. People on the front lines are exhausted and burned out. Everyone needs support and reenergizing. This necessary emotional support arises out of emotional intelligence and is one of the most important attributes needed to reenergize others. People who are respected, honored, and appreciated by both leaders and co-workers can more readily rise to the demands—whereas, people who feel criticized, blamed, or even ignored, can feel demoralized, burnt out, and hopeless.
Steps for Renewal
In this New Year, leaders can inspire employees and themselves to withstand and overcome upcoming challenges by committing to a clear vision which honors the spirit in all people. Leaders need to also recognize the contributions and seek feedback from everyone. Some possibilities for rebuilding, renewing, and reenergizing everyone in your organization include:
1. Be open to new ways and to new ideas.
As an individual, begin to let yourself be open to possibilities that you may have not considered before, or maybe resisted in the past. A closed mind is not usually recognized until we look at what we are blocking or resisting. Opening just a little can create a space where new ideas flow into our awareness. But as long as we are sure that the old way is working or is “just the way we have to do it” we shut off inspiration that could forge new paths. Practice noticing resistance in all your thinking, and you will start to see how being even a little bit open brings new people, new situations, and greater possibilities into your life. No matter how things look, there are always more options.
2. Listen to all points of view.
The best and most necessary changes and ideas come from people at the front lines and managers closest to the various issues and circumstances. Leaders who believe they must come up with the direction and answers are shooting themselves in the foot because their perspective is not in the details or actual processes. Listening to those who carryout and perform all the essential activities and services is the most important thing leaders can do. When you unleash the potential of employees’ contributions, solutions will be discovered, and the organization will expand. Commitment will grow and teamwork will increase. Better results will be attained from teamwork than actions based on top-down directives.
3. Allow yourself to be vulnerable.
Being vulnerable and unguarded can feel like a weakness. However, the effort to appear superior and invulnerable is an ego defense that blocks access and prevents people from speaking up, sharing, or telling you the truth. Being vulnerable is also the path to compassion. Throughout time, the leaders who changed the world, were strong in their vision and purpose, but they were willing to be vulnerable and humble. They could apologize, admit mistakes, receive criticism, and remain calm and forthright. Leaders with these traits are able to reenergize and inspire the people they are leading in their teams and throughout the organization.
4. Practice compassionate grace and empathy.
Healthcare is founded on compassion and taking care of those in need. The word compassion is in nearly every mission statement of every healthcare organization. And yet, I see so many leaders who forget to stop and feel empathy and compassion for the people with whom they work. Honoring the spirit in ourselves and others that is residing beneath our identities and roles is the key to building teamwork, energizing others, touching hearts, and rebuilding relationships with trust and compassion. Fear from many directions and sources permeates many workplace cultures, and having compassion and building trust opens communication, increases loyalty, and resolves workplaces problems and issues. When you are compassionate you illuminate the workplace and clear the shadows of fear and doubt.
5. Release grievances and practice forgiveness in the workplace, families, and friendships.
With all the turmoil in the world, we can’t solve everything at once. But we can, one by one, give up our resentments, our grudges, our victim thinking, and our self-righteousness and that will help heal the world. Recognize that when you are sure that you are 100% right and someone else is totally wrong—whether in the workplace, in government, in families, or anywhere–you are seeing only part of the picture. Self-righteousness is the result. We believe when we blame others it exonerates us. But the truth is, when we can forgive others, and stop blaming everyone else for issues, our workplaces, our families, our communities, and our world will be more peaceful.
Immediate Steps for Rebuilding and Renewing Relationships in 2022
- Everyday choose one person to uplift with a positive message. Do it in person if you are at work or call someone and give them a positive message, a compliment, and/or encouragement.
- Start each morning in the state of gratitude by acknowledging all the things that you do have, instead of lamenting your problems and the issues you see around you.
- Practice compassionate grace for yourself. Remind yourself of your own good qualities and stop being self-effacing or hard on yourself.
- Stop carrying the heavy cross and give up being the victim. You can be a joy and inspiration to others, but it starts with yourself.
- Practice meditation or silent moments every day. The small amount of time spent in sincere reflection will multiply and amplify your clarity, joy, and peace beyond measure.
Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself. -Rumi

Valentine’s Day is a perfect day to remind people that it is through the power of love—universal love– that we will heal relationships and unravel conflict in this world. Coincidentally, I was born on Valentine’s Day and it is my passion to share my insights and thoughts about how love can change the world if we will only let it! Choosing love is the answer for all decisions. Unfortunately, the ego has strategies to cover its neediness and these strategies block the very love everyone desires. The ego, in its goal to always be right cannot find humility, courage, or other worthy qualities stemming from love. Therefore, the ego cannot take a stand for truth or have the courage to be to be or do the right thing in difficult circumstances.
Universal love is the source of everything and is the power that sustains all life. It can be counted on in all circumstances. It is internal and eternal and never wavers. You can be sure when you rely on love because it shines away all doubt, strengthens your resolve, and confirms your intentions. Love limits nothing and controls no one, so when you find yourself trying to control people or circumstances you can know you are in the world of the ego. When you feel despair, remember that love builds hope and faith, and fortifies your strength. Love provides comfort to you and others and has an endless supply. Why would we be stingy with love–our source and our strength?
In its purest form, love flourishes despite uncertainty and dissolves all fear. Love can move mountains and pave the way for a smooth journey. The amazing power of love abandons no one—not even your perceived enemies. It shines equally on everyone. Being both practical and masterful, it creates opportunities leading to fruition. Love does not shrink or cower in the face of obstacles. In fact, it clears all interference and amplifies all your efforts. Love is the very reason you exist. We need to envelop the world in love because love radiates peace and joy and that is what the world needs.
It is time to give up worries and concerns and recognize that they limit your power and energy. Learn to be patient with yourself and others. And come to know that love is enduring and can be counted on always. So, I suggest, be joyful and what you need will follow, not the other way around. The world believes you will be happy when you get what you need, but this is not true. When you align with love, your needs and desires will be met. Trust in that.
So where do you start? Families provide a golden opportunity because even in conflicted families there is a core of love–if you can unravel the layers. Loving people, even when they are different in some ways, can be an excellent practice for loving our fellow souls in all arenas on the planet. Start with your family and closest friends. Because, if we cannot heal our relationships with our family members and friends who we care about, how do we think we can heal communities, Congress, workplaces, or the world?
How do we do it? Challenge the little voice inside that tries to distract you and tries to make you feel separate from love and all others. Do not let it disturb your peace or allow it to perturb you. Any time you are irritated, it is coming from yourself, not another person. And when you are in sadness, irritation, or in confusion, you can listen to your inner authentic voice, coming from universal love, and not the selfish, conflicted ego. The inner voice, connected to universal love is so powerful, you can reach it at any time. You are never alone. It can be counted on to provide support and inner security in any situation or circumstance. Love is the source of peace and joy. The key is to be open and receptive, and trust that all you need will be given at every moment.
Welcome to a new existence! June 29, 2018

Examine your life anew, remembering every significant event, and even those not appearing to be so important. Recall how you felt, especially those that caused you pain, and question your evaluation and subsequent belief about what happened. Ask yourself, “Was that what really happened?” Try to be open to a different interpretation from that which you made at the time. Experiment and even make up a different possibility. Let go of this fixed opinion about the person or situation, even for a moment and allow another possibility to arise. It is in your story about this person or situation that you have disavowed or devalued yourself. It is not wrong. It is only the result of a painful occurrence in your life, in which you tried to avoid and prevent yourself from feeling hurt. Your desire for self-protection is what created the walls that are now keeping you apart–keeping you in some level of fear of others.
The desire to be safe makes sense, but it is placing reliance on a defense and provides only temporary relief. It results in reactions and counter-reactions that are part of the entire web of interacting egos operating at this time. The suffering experienced by you and every other person is causing a huge divide in families, communities, societies, and nations worldwide. This suffering and subsequent seeing others as the enemy has been the cause and source of all conflict, and, ultimately, the cause of wars between nations.
Voluntarily facing your own fears and discovering your true source, which is the love and power from which you came, is the way to your personal relief, as well as that of others. As you, one by one, stop blaming others and “put down the gun”, so to speak, you begin the unraveling process. When you can see that others are only alternate versions of yourself, wanting to be loved and needed, you will begin healing. It is all the same thing for everyone. Each beautiful, unique, and precious individual just wants to be loved and needed. The heart yearns for love and acceptance.
Love is a deeply abiding presence residing in all of us, connecting us to one another, emerging from life itself. We cannot hold love, nor can we destroy it for it is the birthright of every man woman and child. Love provides answers even when we are alone. It comforts us and support us in the darkest experiences. Love’s presence is gift available at any moment, anytime, anywhere, regardless of the surroundings or circumstances. Can you put parameters on love, can you put limits on love, can you explain the inexplicable? Can you lasso the win? Lo and behold—you are love. You are an extension of Source.
Higher consciousness is a state of living in a higher reality and in a higher relationship with self and others than we are now. Just knowing we are part of a higher consciousness IS a higher consciousness. Being tapped into that higher reality allows you to participate in transforming consciousness here at this time. You have come here to do just that. As you elevate yourselves, you automatically elevate others. Nothing will remain the same after this moment in time which is expanding rapidly to create a new world. Welcome to a new existence. This is a precious time to be alive. You are on an exalted path to a new word.
The mass ego delusion has played on too long. This is the time to shift into a new world of love and forgiveness—where we take down the walls and masks and finally see our brothers and sisters, whom we had mistakenly identified as the enemy.

If you feel “mildly nauseous” or anxiety and fear after arriving at work, or even the night before, here is some immediate help that can provide you freedom and relief. In fact, it is the really only permanent antidote. The Answer is turning the lights on—illuminating the workplace—ending the long-playing drama. When you illuminate the theater, you bring clarity and understanding on how to unravel the drama both in yourself and the workplace stage.
PROJECT ILLUMINATION: Shining light and bringing clarity to complex and confusing relationships at work and the world.
Steps to Rebuilding Relationships in the Workplace by Honoring the Spirit in Ourselves and Others.
- Breathe and relax to become present. (Using mindfulness and meditation)
- Align with your authentic, deep, inner self that sees from a higher perspective. Align with the power of Universal Love to restore yourself to your true self, your inner, spiritual greatness.
- Become aware of the fear underlying the reactions and counter-reactions occurring and how they perpetuate the drama through fear. Your goal is to rise above the web of ego drama. See how others are operating in fear—even though they may feign confidence or power—it is artificial power.
- Look within and be aware of your own fear and resistance. Be courageous and see how fear is keeping you engaged. Sincerely focus on your own fears. Seek to find your biggest threat? Have you felt this before? Start to see that your reactions to people and situations are part of an old script and you don’t have to respond to the fears of your ego—noticing is enough to begin to let them go. Recognize and realign with your authentic self, with the knowledge that when you are rooted in Universal Love, you can handle anything.
- Illuminate the whole performance, drama, and web of competing egos, by understanding everyone is seeking power and validation by playing out their parts in the drama. You are not the victim unless you believe it is real and react in fear. When you are aligned with your full power you don’t validate the drama by playing out other people’s scripts.
- Express yourself calmly and authentically without blame and listen without defenses. True communication comes when the clouds of resistance and interference are cleared. Honor the authentic spirit in the other, rather than the role or small ego.
- Relax and trust in the unknown. Change is the flow of life. Understand that something in the future is trying to birth itself and it will be better and beyond anything you can imagine based on the known past. Allow yourself to flow with change and trust that when you are aligned with LOVE you are aligned with the power that sustains all life. You are trusting in the power that moves mountains and creates all reality. Love cuts through clouds of confusion and clears all interference. You are connected to the wellspring of genius, creativity itself.
WHAT IF EVERYONE STOPPED PLAYING HIS/HER PART IN THE PLAY? The stranglehold on each other would release and the drama would end.

Despite all external appearances, including calamities, chaos, interruptions, and shocking events you see on television and the internet, you are asked to see the world through the eyes of love. This is a defining moment in the history of the world, leading to a time where honor, respect, and love are held in the hearts of people worldwide, who understand and share the vision for a new and cooperative world. Pain and suffering, the result of the contention created by humans, will begin to disappear as people join together for the common good of all people everywhere.
Positions of authority will be occupied by people who hold the highest interest and regard for all people, not just for those at the top. Beliefs in separateness from Source and from each other will be eradicated and people will feel compassion for their fellow beings, their brothers and sisters on the planet. The new cooperative system and structure has been long-awaited but is arriving now, the result of the chaos and dissension finally being played out and exposed for all to see– the erroneous beliefs that have been the underlying cause of the discord, the conflict, and pain in this competitive world.
Seeing through the eyes of love requires suspending your fears and judgments, and instead, trusting that a better world is emerging. When you are in a state of openness, you allow the divine to shine through you, assisting you in understanding all situations from a higher perspective. You will see even difficult circumstances as opportunities for exposure, understanding, and release of former ideologies containing supremacy, competition, pain, and destruction.
Joint decisions that benefit all sides for mutual satisfaction will become clear and recognizable as the only way to a peaceful society–comprised of respectful relationships at all levels. Each of you contributes to the rebuilding of the current societal framework, simply by interacting with compassion and understanding with others you see every day. You rebuild relationships here and now with how you see and relate with those closest to you.
Have faith, hope, and trust that all is well, in the face of appearances. When you see the world through the eyes of love, you see its perfection for the unfolding plan for society’s transition–a beautiful awakening, bringing a final state of relief from suffering and pain worldwide. This utopia is achievable, the state of cooperation and love is coming, and those who awaken can experience it now. It is already here for those who are awake.
See the beauty in the eyes of your fellow beings and be united and energized by understanding love is in everyone. Love is the source of all power and is the reason you exist. You have all been a part of the massive delusion that has existed for thousands of years, but is now coming to an end. Be joyous now and know you are loved and adored. The clouds are parting and the sun is shining through! You are blessed and this is the time to be alive with purpose and gratitude in your hearts. Awaken beloved children of God, the time is now!
Plans for awakening are expanding rapidly. Don’t doubt that this is happening or minimize your part in it. Be proud of your steps and contribute with the passion instilled in you. Enjoy the journey and trust that you will be prepared for each experience as it unfolds. See the blessings all around you, recognize the synchronicity in all interactions with others, and understand how all situations and events are part of the transition to awakening.
The complexities of this world can be confusing, but the conflicts and discord are the result of the ego and its desire for power and validation. Don’t be hypnotized into believing circumstances or become transfixed on the false appearances or the temporary results of artificial power. They are crumbling and dissolving, even when you can’t see it. Awakening is just that–opening your eyes to the truth, despite the appearances. It is knowing that love is the foundation of all that truly exists.
Standing powerfully in love is the path for emancipation from all previously held beliefs and artificial constructs. The dissension and complexities occurring worldwide are a reflection of the grievances and unresolved conflicts in individuals. As you find your own sanity and recognize your own misguided beliefs, you assist in the dismantling of the world’s complex societal structure that is holding a stranglehold on people everywhere. So look within to release your own fears and demons and find the underlying source of love in yourself. As you experience your personal transformation, you transform the world. As you find your own liberation, you bring freedom to the world.
All the circumstances, events and happenings in the world at this time, no matter how dire they appear, are moving forward in service to the awakening of humanity through the eyes of love. Be at peace.

Do Not Disavow Yourself December 18, 2016

It is essential that you listen to this. Your shadow side blocks your flow of communication with the divine and with others. It will continue to block if you allow it. It is essential for each one of you to recover and restore your beautiful essence. The power to fulfill your divine purpose will be restored and rebuilt allowing you to move forward as you never have before. Wake up from the dreadful dream, the nightmare of self-imprisonment. The shadow (ego) prevents you from connecting with others.
This is categorically the most important thing you can do to stand up and come out of whatever situation you are in, and to help others escape this paralyzing grip of misfortune and mayhem. The world is in an epic time of catastrophic events. Blaming others doesn’t help. Challenge with sincere conviction all the words that reduce your power and allow us, your inner guidance, to help you work with the undulating, divine energy pulsating through you. Be bold, be tireless, committed and unflinching. Take care of yourself and use your energy as most appropriate. Vow to be awake and present. Rely on love. In its purest form, love removes all doubt. Stop asking for others to save you. BE powerful. Allow the warrior within to arise.
Jesus prepared the way and illuminated the path. Jesus did not disavow himself, but instead rose to the highest level. His impact on the world was a result of his willingness to share the power of the divine message he carried. Wake up from your dream of despair, smallness and victimhood.
You can bring down walls of fear in others when you melt their resistance with compassion. You can touch the very deepest part of their souls, where the pain is hidden and buried, denied and held tightly. They will thank you because holding the pain within is exhausting.
Your underdog role is over. Denounce it, once and for all. Let go of the nightmare. As you wake up to the core of who you are, you can bridge understanding with others, helping reveal the walls of defenses, so they can be dismantled and taken down.
Denial is a powerful force that keeps us locked in our fears. Your willingness to face your own fears is what allows you to help others. Any pain you experience is from resistance, from being stuck on the razor’s edge. The pain comes because you are trying so hard to manage all the stories of what you believe to be true. And while trying to do the right things, the things you believe you must do, you are missing the wholeness, the solid truth and base of who you are, the core of you–which is Love. You don’t have to try being loving. You are Love.

The John Smallman-Danna Beal Channeling Workshop on Dec. 10 was a great success with so many positive responses from those attending. Many people shared both in the group and afterwards their alignment experiences–connecting to their spiritual, divine Source–in many different forms–words, images, energy, and inspiration. If you are one of the attendees, I am so happy you were able to join us for the 2 hour event.
THE RECORDING OF THE CHANNELING EVENT
We had many requests for a recording for those who did not attend. We also had requests for those who did attend who would like a copy to continue the practices and lessons. I have now completed the editing of the recording. It is fun and inspiring to hear the discussions and enjoy a replay of the WONDERFUL workshop. You can get a copy below for $25 for the mp3 audio which will be emailed to you. You will also be emailed the Chapter 69 which John played during the workshop.
Many of the attendees said they would like a longer event–that they felt their opening to their inner guidance would have continued. So I am hosting a second one on Saturday, January 14, 2017, from 11 am to 2 pm with several opportunities to practice connecting with your own inner, divine power. It will also include exercises on understanding our roles, revealing our blocks, and finding freedom from relationship conflicts. These steps all lead to alignment with our divine guidance and personal joy. John Smallman is considering coming again and we will have to see how that unfolds. To be announced!

Challenges of the Ego’s Journey November 29, 2016

The ego’s journey is one of being in constant correction mode, continually shifting, and changing course; evaluating the thoughts and feelings of others, and always seeking recognition, attention and validation. This way of traveling through life compromises the ability of the soul to arise and truly design the life you were meant to live. The journey of constantly checking and evaluating the responses, opinions, thoughts and feelings from others has diminished the ability of human beings to hear their own inner guidance.
Always seeking outside for validation requires hyper-vigilance and demands feedback from others rather than your own inner Divine guidance. This pathway, a method for survival, is taught unconsciously to the children and it continues through generations. Breaking out of this pattern of hyper-vigilance requires commitment and focus to the present, the only time and place that exists. By alignment with the power of love you are tapping into the wellspring of creativity and possibility, rather than the reactions and opinions of others.
Blaming others for your misfortunes, disappointment and pain, is the basis of the entrapment and the very structure of society at this time in history. This instinct to blame others keeps one in the constant state of victimhood, increasing feelings of fear and helplessness. The attack on others triggers a counter-attack, locking everyone involved in an ever-escalating web of reaction and counter-reaction, occurring at all levels and including wars between states and nations. When we fail to connect to our own power of internal energy, fueled from within, we are then dependent on external sources for our sustenance and we find ourselves compromising values and ethics to maintain our connection and sense of validation, reassurance, and power from others.
Because of the attention and criticism received in this manner of interacting, we have also developed deep wounds and injuries that, although they are emotional, still create extreme pain. Pain demands our attention and forces us to protect and cover up the injuries so they might not be exposed to further damage. The need to protect the wounds results in defenses and attacks on others to protect ourselves and our loved ones. But t when does the defense become an offense? When are we the perpetrator and when are we the perpetrated upon? This dilemma has been carried on for centuries locking us in a stalemate of opposite sides. This cannot be sustained because the pressure felt by so many will finally burst, much like the pressure of a shoelace pulling too tightly from both sides of the same shoe.
The aftermath of the election will continue to surprise everyone. Unforeseen events are in the works and unexpected departures will open the door for creating a new way of being–a fresh and vibrant, more compassionate world. Creating a world of cooperation and respect, both at home and around the world, is really the dream of everyone here at this time, even if they don’t know it. The pain and suffering leading to this cataclysmic time has been necessary to bring about the worldwide changes that have been promised through the centuries. Be of good cheer and expect the coming times to be filled with accelerated growth in all areas– economic, financial, ecological, intellectual, scientific—an era of new discoveries and innovation. The results will be dazzling, exceeding the imaginative powers presently available to you and creating endless possibilities for a new world!
Antidote for Poisonous Ideas and Beliefs November 15, 2011

Tremendous efforts are needed to dissuade the common theme of attack and overcome held by so many people. Peace can never come from overcoming others. Understanding relationships and finding radical new ways to achieve peace are necessary for the pursuant of freedom.
It is important to recognize the dynamic of mutual engagement. Whether between individuals, groups or whole nations, it takes both sides to hold the relationship together. As an example, a shoe lace is intertwined as it laces the shoe with adjoining pressure, pulling the parts of the shoe together. This automatically tightens the grip of both sides of the shoe. This joint pressure holds the shoe together. But when the pressure becomes unbearable, the lace breaks—“the tie that binds them”. This breaking or bursting is usually see as the fault of the other but is actually the result of both sides pulling against each other—intertwined needs and emotions that keep them engaged. It is not love that binds them; it is fear.
Trying to overcome the other person, group or nation, by intensifying the pressure always results in disruptions and even wars. Warring nations have been held in the same pull of intertwined relationships for centuries.
Poisoned attitudes and ideas for achieving supremacy are delivered to each other and through the media. Poisonous ideas, like venom, need an antidote to dilute their power. This passage of time requires people taking a stand for peace, with conviction; not just politely standing by waiting to see what will happen.
When you pronounce Truth it will be recognized. Freedom is just that—freedom from fear and freedom of speech. Persevere in spreading a message of peace, love and harmony. Do not give others authority over you or be beguiled by false platitudes.
Why are people afraid to take a stand? It stems from fear of punitive action from those in authority. Childhood experiences of being scolded by a teacher or older authority, have conditioned people to be afraid to speak the truth or take a stand against the prevailing culture. Reclaim your own authority, your inner spiritual greatness.
Ask the question, when does a defense become the offence? When are we the perpetrators, and when are we the perpetrated upon? Every time we attack another, be it in families, work or the world, we tighten the interlaced pressure that will finally burst.
Be a shining example to the world of acceptance, compassion and integrity. Open hearts with a divine message, bless those before you and forgive your enemies. Prepare a way for a new generation and be passionate in your commitment to deliver Truth. Truth will cut through the confusion like the sun breaking through the clouds. Bask in the sunshine of our approval and share that same light of love and forgiveness with others. Blessed are you who do God’s work.
